As of January 1, 2020, recreational marijuana purchase and use became legal within Illinois for individuals 21+. Click the image to access a fast fact sheet from Prevention First, Inc.
The minimum age of purchase or use of nicotine/tobacco is increasing to 21 nationwide. It is already effective in Illinois but other states are still working on their legislation. For more details, visit tobacco21.org
More than half of the MLB stadiums are completely tobacco-free now. Some are addressing being nicotine-free as well. This is an exciting development for families who love the game and want to keep everyone safe.
Rock Island County Sherriff Bustos announced participation in the "Safe Passage" program. This program aims to assist individuals looking for treatment and recovery from a substance use disorder.
