OUR ANNUAL EVENTS
DEA DRUG TAKE BACK DAY
Every April and October, The C.A.U.S.E. organizes sites across Rock Island County to participate in the DEA's National Drug Take Back Day. We currently partner with five police departments - Rock Island County Sheriff, Moline PD, Milan PD, East Moline PD, and Silvis PD. We collected 609 lbs. of medications during April 2018's event.
NATIONAL PREVENTION WEEK
National Prevention Week is an annual health observance sponsored by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, mental health and/or substance use disorders. The C.A.U.S.E. organizes activities during this week to engage local students and families and empower positive decision-making.
OUR BYLAWS
The CAUSE approved a new set of bylaws in August 2020. The bylaws outline our coalition goals, protocols, and responsibilities. The document is accessible here.
